Trendy Confessions for Majalah Perempuan
They say there’s always a first time to everything and to me, this is one of those first times: Modeling for a magazine’s fashion spread.
This is a fashion spread for Majalah Perempuan (January 2012 issue) with clothing by popular Malaysian-based online plus-size boutique Trendy Confessions (www.trendyconfessions.com).
Crazy stuff this was but it was a lot of fun! Thanks a lot to...

Career Change
Just an update of what’s going on with my life these days.
I’ve found myself a new job. It’s been a month over now. Should be two by the end of January.
And it’s nothing along the media line. I’m on the corporate communication side now. Public relations stuff. With a respective multinational Malaysian property developer.
A new challenge ahead. Things are moving...

#17 You will be missed; RIP Abang Faizul
There was never a dull moment whenever I worked with Noramfaizul Mohd Nor whom I referred to as Abang Faizul. A fellow colleague at Bernama TV, Abang Faizul is no regular cameraman. He’s a media person and a motivator at heart. This man was a real mentor.
Though I’ve only been to a number of assignments with him, I never failed to have that bonding moment with him. He’s like a...

The Aerial View →
Before I Got Lost In The City existed, my first Tumblr blog was a complete reblog-only blog by the name of The Aerial View. I still keep it running though. (You know how reblogging on Tumblr can be an addiction).
So, yeah… follow me on The Aerial View for tonnes of stuff that I love including world affairs (breaking news), fashion, music… latest addiction: Kendrick Lamar, movies,...

@ Lauren
I wish you would’ve brought me to this place while I was there. Now I have to make a point to work hard and save up to return to LA. And when I’m there, you should be there with me, lady.

#16 Sagittarius - The Promiscuous One?
It was some time in early 2009.
My Business Reporting class with my favorite lecturer, Abu Yamin Salam was in session. I remember I was sitting next to the now-journalist with Berita Harian, Fariza Ramlan who have been my classmate since Diploma.
I wasn’t concentrating on the lesson because I was reading through these notes written on Fariza’s notebook about a Sagittarius. I tried to...

I never thought I’d say this. But I think I’m starting to fall in...
– Though stuck in such a badly-administered/managed broadcasting institution in the country and the insane workload and inflexible working schedule; I must say that I am in love with writing scripts for TV, the perks of being a member of the press/media, the editing process (in which I’m...

#15 KRU-mania, anyone?
If you are Malaysians, especially those who grew up in the 90s, you surely know who this man in this picture (below) with me is.
Yes, that’s Norman Abdul Halim, one-third of Malaysia’s super group trio of brothers, KRU. He might not be the younger-handsomer him who used to rap in Malay, dressed like a b-boy when he was still in his 20s. But now at the age of 39 - he’s the...

#14 This is official, I feel old
I know, I know, I know… I owe you some entries. Not that I don’t want to write or post any, just that last week have been ridiculously insane. The workload is killing me. And not that I’m not used to it… it’s just that last week’s content was a bit tough for me.
They say a journalist is a quasi-expert of everything and anything but they’re wrong. How can...

#13 (That) Sunday Roundup
I should have posted this long time ago but since last week was a lot like hell, this post about Sunday, July the 10th have been on pending mode for almost two weeks and only now that I get to publish them.
Well, Sunday the 10th could possibly be the most exciting day for me in the month of July so far. If you’re Malaysians, or just a citizen of the Earth who’s concern, you’d...

#12 Kinokuniya's Author in Focus: Nick Hornby
I should’ve posted about this on Monday or Tuesday, the latest; but I was swamped with work and taking vain pictures of myself that I somehow neglected this.
As I was doing my usual book-and-stationery shopping at Kinokuniya KLCC last Sunday, I found out about Kinokuniya’s Author in Focus of the month —- my most favorite English author of all time —- NICK HORNBY.
If...

#11 To live, to be humble and to inspire
The best part about my job is… I get to slacking and write a Tumblr entry during work. Hah! No, that’s not really my point though it’s true but NO… that’s not what I’m trying to say right here.
To tell you the truth, the best part about my job is I get to meet people. Since I’m currently doing a lot of business-related assignments, the kind of people I...
